We help riders with disabilities travel comfortably, with door-to-door assistance. CONFIRM WITH OWNER whether vehicles have ramps or lifts, and whether riders can stay seated in their own wheelchair.
How do I pay? Do you accept Medicaid?
VANE is MTM-certified. MTM (Medical Transportation Management) is Missouri's Medicaid transportation broker, so MO HealthNet riders may be able to book eligible rides to medical appointments through MTM and ride with VANE. CONFIRM WITH OWNER how riders should book (call MTM first, or call VANE?), which trip types MTM covers, and whether riders can request VANE by name.
For trips Medicaid doesn't cover, CONFIRM WITH OWNER private-pay rates and whether rides can be part of a waiver or care plan with V's Home Care.
How far ahead should I schedule?
For the best availability, book as early as you can. CONFIRM WITH OWNER minimum notice, same-day rides, office hours, and weekend availability.
Can a family member or companion ride along?
Our drivers provide ride-along assistance from door to door. CONFIRM WITH OWNER whether a caregiver or companion can ride at no extra cost, and whether a VANE staff member can stay with the rider during an appointment.
Who are your drivers?
VANE is MTM-certified and part of V's Home Care and Nursing Care, an HCBS-certified Springfield in-home care agency. CONFIRM WITH OWNER background checks, driving record checks, CPR/first-aid training, and insurance.
Is this an emergency or medical transport?
No. VANE provides non-medical transportation. Drivers don't provide medical care during the ride. In an emergency, call 911.
